Meet Our Providers & Team

Jim Meehan, MD

Founder (1965-2024)

Dr. Meehan’s commitment to healing and innovation has left an enduring legacy that continues to benefit countless lives. The Meehan Mission lives on through the work of MINDSETkids.

Early in his career as a top eye surgeon (ophthalmologist), Dr. Meehan recognized how so many people were suffering from chronic diseases that were mismanaged, and often made worse by the “pill for every ill” medical model that served the pharmaceutical and medical industries at the cost of patient health. As his dedication to patient care evolved into a Preventative and Functional Medicine approach, he was able to actually diagnose patients’ ailments and teach them how to manage their health and heal. His passion for technology and the desire to reach more patients opened the door to creating a telehealth platform that reached patients of all ages in over 30 states. Today, MINDSETkids has the ability to reach families in all states.

When he was introduced to the documentary, VAXXED, that exposed the corruption behind the childhood vaccine industry, his mission expanded into speaking out on informed consent. Through collaboration with great like-minded doctors and a mission oriented team, he was passionate to create an alternative option in childhood wellness.  Years of dedication finally led to the introduction of MINDSETkids, a resource for parents to take charge of their children’s health.  Sadly, due to his untimely passing, he was unable to witness the launching of MINDSETkids, however, we know he is with us in spirit.  His team, including his wife, Cathy Meehan, is dedicated to continuing the Meehan Mission in his honor.

Dr. Meehan’s superpower was his ability to discern high quality medical research from the low quality, biased, pseudoscience used to promote pharmaceutical industry products. He was a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, NAGA World Jiu Jitsu Champion, and 2013 “Living Legend” inductee into the Martial Arts Masters Hall of Fame! He was a loving husband to his wife, Cathy for over 35 years, a dedicated father to 5 wonderful children and the best G’Pa ever to 7 beautiful grandchildren. He was and always will be America’s doctor and truth seeker.

Her training spans the full spectrum of pediatric care, from critical illness to preventive health, equipping her with expertise in the use of many of modern medicine’s most potent therapies. At the same time, she emphasizes the power of small, targeted changes in diet and lifestyle to promote long-term health, using medications or other interventions only when necessary. She has received training through the Kresser Institute of Functional Medicine and is an active member of MAPS and A4M.

Dr. Deepika Minnal

Pediatrician

Dr. Minnal was born and raised in India. She completed her Pediatrics residency at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. After working as a hospitalist at the Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Jersey, she moved to Texas and went into private practice while raising her two young children.

During her extensive experience in primary care, she has encountered patients with complex medical conditions that modern medicine often could not address. This has given her a unique perspective on the healthcare system, and she firmly believes that treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—rather than just the symptoms of a disease is crucial.

She completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at The University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Tucson, AZ, to further her expertise. She also completed the Functional Medicine Certification Program from the Institute for Functional Medicine, Federal Way, WA, which helped her to incorporate holistic treatments into the traditional medical model. Dr. Minnal is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine and certified by the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is also  Board Certified in Pediatrics.

Dr. Minnal is passionate about learning, teaching, and collaborating with her patients to help them achieve the harmony and balance they need to heal and optimize their health. Her background in Ayurveda and other healing arts of India has helped her fill the voids she found in the conventional healthcare system. She completed the Ayurvedic Studies Course from Kerala Ayurveda Academy in Milpitas, CA, further strengthening her knowledge and skills in the field.

She likes to practice yoga, gardening, and discovering the great outdoors in her spare time.

Cathy Meehan

Host of The Meehan Mission, Public Speaker, Organizational Leader

Cathy is the widow of Dr. Jim Meehan, a powerful advocate for medical freedom who dedicated his career to challenging the corruption within the healthcare system. Together, Jim and Cathy formed a dynamic team, exposing issues in the CDC’s childhood vaccine recommendations, the lack of long term studies for the Covid vaccine, the health risks of wearing face masks and most recently highlighting the widespread lack of informed consent in the cancer industry.

Cathy’s journey in healthcare began early—after earning her business degree, she supported Jim through medical school and residency, working as a pharmaceutical representative. She was a top performer and quickly rose to a training position where she was able to influence others with her leadership knowhow. Her time in the pharmaceutical industry revealed firsthand how marketing tactics often influenced doctors’ prescribing practices in ways that didn’t always align with patients’ best interests. Inspired by Jim’s infectious passion for educating others on medical freedom, Cathy joined him in the fight for true informed consent in medical procedures. Together, they raised five children who faced various health issues—chronic asthma, pneumonia, eczema, and gastrointestinal problems—after experiencing adverse reactions to vaccines. These challenges deepened their commitment to advocating for safer, more informed healthcare choices.

Currently, Cathy leads a mission oriented functional medicine practice and continues as an advocate of medical freedom. She lives on her family compound with her healthy and vibrant grandchildren who bring her joy and hope for a future free from unnecessary medical interventions. Through her work with The Meehan Mission Podcast and the launching of MINDSET-kids, she carries on Jim’s legacy, helping families make informed healthcare decisions and shining a light on the importance of transparency in medical practices.
